The first painting I ever sold was a portrait of the artist Frida Kahlo (I love her dresses, as well as her art!). Some of these paintings are based on scenes I see every day in my home city of Santa Ana, or on vintage photographs of my family (Mexican and Yucatan Indian, on my father’s side).
